Phraseology is the main communication tool between controllers and pilots. It is important that air traffic controllers maintain a high degree of competency in the phraseology used throughout their careers. This database provides the user with the standard words and phrases as described in ICAO Annex 10, Volume 2 and ICAO Doc 4444 including syntax, context when used and examples.

Objective The objective of this database is to improve the use of standard phraseology by indicating correct syntax and by explaining when the particular phrase could be used.
